Lab Work Done Here, Not Somewhere Else

At Pandora Family Medicine, we draw blood in the office. That means no scheduling a separate LabCorp or Quest appointment, no extra parking, no second waiting room. Your doctor orders the test, we collect the sample, and results come back to us directly.

At a glance

  • Blood drawn in-office at your visit
  • No separate lab appointment needed
  • Results reviewed by your own doctor
  • Insurance accepted, cash-pay pricing available
  • Supports weight loss, immigration, diabetes, and cholesterol care
  • ★ 4.7 Google rating

What Lab Tests Can Be Done In-Office?

We run the panels that come up most often in primary care. Hemoglobin A1C for diabetes monitoring. Lipid panels for cholesterol management. Metabolic panels for patients on GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound. Immunity titers for immigration medical exams. Thyroid, kidney function, liver enzymes, and more.

If you are managing a chronic condition or working through an immigration exam, the lab work is already part of the plan. We do not send you elsewhere to finish it.

That last part matters more than most people realize. A missing signature, an expired lab result, or a vaccine documented the wrong way can send the form back and delay everything. Doing this thousands of times means we know exactly what USCIS is looking for.

Exam requirements in detail

Who Benefits from On-Site Lab Services?

Honestly, most patients do. But a few situations come up again and again.

  1. Patients managing diabetes or high cholesterol

Regular A1C checks and lipid panels are part of staying on top of these conditions. When the draw happens at the same visit as your follow-up, you spend less time on logistics and more time actually talking to your doctor.

  2. Patients on weight loss medications

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro require ongoing monitoring. Metabolic panels, liver function, kidney function — these are not optional. Having them done in-office means your doctor sees the results and adjusts your plan without a gap in communication.

  3. Immigration exam patients

The I-693 requires blood work, including tuberculosis testing and sometimes immunity titers. We draw everything here. No separate lab visit, no extra step between you and your sealed envelope.

  4. Anyone who wants results their doctor actually reviews

When lab results come back to an outside facility, it can take days before anyone calls you, if they call at all. Here, results come to your doctor. You hear from us.

  5. If something turns up

A positive tuberculosis blood test, for example, usually means a chest X-ray, not a denial. We explain what it means, arrange what is needed, and complete the form when it is done. You are never left guessing.

We know the timeline matters. Many patients are working against an interview date or a request for evidence, and we schedule and process exams with that in mind. The exam is a flat fee quoted before you book; blood tests and vaccines are itemized and added only if you need them, so there are no surprise costs.

How It Works: From Draw to Results

Your doctor orders the test at your visit. We collect the blood sample in-office before you leave. Results typically come back within a few days, depending on the panel.

Once results are in, your doctor reviews them and contacts you directly, by phone or through the patient portal. If something needs follow-up, we handle that here. You are not left waiting for a call that never comes.

For immigration exam patients, the timeline is a little more structured: lab results need to be back before Dr. Gougian can complete and seal the I-693. We factor that into scheduling so there are no surprises.

Insurance and Cash-Pay Lab Pricing

Most standard lab panels are covered by insurance when ordered as part of a medical visit. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most major commercial insurance plans. If your plan covers the visit, it typically covers the labs ordered at that visit.

If you are paying out of pocket, common panels run in the range of $30 to $100 depending on what is ordered. We can tell you the expected cost before we draw. No surprise bills after the fact.

Before You Book

Do I need a doctor's order to get blood work done?

Yes. Lab work here is ordered by your doctor as part of your care, not a standalone walk-in draw service. If you are an established patient, your doctor may be able to order labs without a full visit depending on what is needed. Call us and we can figure out the right approach.

How long does it take to get lab results?

Most routine panels come back within two to three business days. Some same-day results are possible for certain tests. Once results are in, your doctor reviews them and contacts you directly.

Is on-site lab work covered by insurance?

In most cases, yes. Labs ordered during a covered visit are typically covered under the same plan. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance. If you are uninsured or paying cash, ask us for pricing before your visit. We will tell you what to expect.
